Jason O. Jeffries is a graduate of the Religious Studies Department of Rice University. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree (B.B.A.) in Finance from Prairie View A&M University in 1999. He earned a Master of Divinity degree (M.Div.) from the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University in May 2008 and a Master of Theology degree (Th.M.) at Union-Presbyterian School of Christian Education in 2009. Jason has been awarded an African American doctoral fellowship from the Fund for Theological Education (FTE). His research interests include how religion forms identity for African American males, the body as a source of religious experience, African American religious culture, and modes of religious resistance.
